Krabi Day 2

26 Mar 2016. Saturday

I woke up when the sunlight comes through the curtains. Just 6 in the morning but it was very sunny . Still early to get up as drivers tour will pick us up at 8:30.

We had breakfast at the hotel cafe. They served white rice , fried vegetables , fried noodles, cereal, bread.

The tour guide came to collect us on time and we just finish our meal. The we drove to the Big Fish on main road and all the tourist under same tour will gather and wait for next order.

The weather was very hot but after the boat ride ,strong wind hit the boat.

Before the tour

At the last island before we go back

We were taken to four islands or coastal areas. Each area, they left to do beach activities around more than 1 hour.

Our tour this time really different with the previous tour guide. He was not friendly , not to mention no smile at all to all of us. Sitting in boat also have to be careful, and always sit in balancing position for maintaining boat alignment. But the way he brief to us, no friendly tone at all.

If the journey a little further, we sat down with so orderly and sleep with a good position. Tour guide will sit at the end of the boat and would not miss the view towards us. I do not know why he was like that haha.
We were given lunch in the third island. Lunch is white rice , chicken with soy sauce , fried vegetables and melons .Bottle water is given only once , unlike the first tour where we can take a bottle of water and beer(for those who drink) with no limit and keep offering to us.

But certainly, he looks fierce. If we want to ride the boat earlier than the time, he would prop up the stairs so we could not go up. Wahaha.

Take a wefie after lunch, waiting in front of boat as the guide refuse us to go inside. Haha

Take a picture after arrived Ao Nang. The drivers from main road keep waiving to us ask to quick. Lol

image

On the way back to hotel. All was so white right? Haha. This is because the day is too hot

image

After take a nap at the hotel, we went out looking for dinner and stopped at Tesco Lotus. Just looking for a light snack. Tesco is located in main road of Aonang, 5 minutes after the mosque.

This is just for today and will continue on next entry. 🙂

Krabi Day 1

Friday. Mar 25th, 2016

Passport : Checked
Itinerary : Checked
Boarding Pass : Checked
Hotel Booking Confirmation : Checked
Converted Currency : Checked

All complete yeay yeay!

Most of us working halfday today except me and Jas. Things just completely packed this morning and we plan to meet up at 1pm to the airport.

Following things just a suggestion :

Few blouse, tshirts and trunk
Swimwear
Toilettries
Sun block Cream
Sunshade if have.

1.15 pm

Adik’s family just arrived to pick us up and we drove to Putrajaya Sentral. Our plan is to park at the place and take ERL to the airport.

Obstacle : To find indoor parking haha

We arrived the place on time but couldn’t find the parking. Fau told that outdoor parking is fullhouse. We tried to get in but the ticket machine is not working.

Then we turn back to find the indoor parking. There is no sign board. After traffic light, Institut Kanser Negara on left but we go straight instead of turn right. We just go round and round and wasting nearly 15 minutes.

Actually we have to take right after the traffic light, then it will show the sign to the parking area. Sigh.

Arrived there but the ticket machine for outdoor carpark is not working. Oh my goodness! Then we try to get in to the indoor carpark and pull off the cone divider. And the machine works!

We run quickly and no sign as well to the ERL on the elevator. Oh oh my. Fortunately we ask someone then at last, we found it.

Just arrived the ERL ticket counter and the time remaining for the next train to arrive is 1 min. Obviously we can’t catch up and need to wait for next train.

Fare to KLIA 2 is RM9.40 one way. Estimate 25 minutes journey.

Around 3pm

Since we left the train, we have to wait 30 min for next round. Passenger is not load if compare to other public transport and the time is exactly as schedule.

This is my first time ride on this ERL. It was so cozy inside with wide seat and the baggage compartment on each disembark door but it’s too high for me. Lol.

Obstacle 2 : Final Call

Journey go smooth and we arrived at the airport around 15 to 4pm. Just thought that we were on time but actually had an announcement for final call flight which is our flight!

For that time, I don’t know that we’ve been calling for last call and i’m rushing to the bank. Received a call from adik that our gate will be close shortly and all boarding pass is here with me. Oh gosh. Run again!

So Runningman program starts here. We check in baggage in the emergency lane and go in to the terminal. You know how long to walk in through terminal when you’ve been there and we ask the staff to ride us on buggy.

The buggy service is just halfway. Then we need to check in again for hand luggage for second time and run to the Gate 19. It was so soo tired and Ziqri enjoy the run until he spill “Penatnya. Nak dukung..” Hahaha

His daddy took him and run again. Until we get to the gate and I heard, “Kak Zue!”. It was Fau! Haha. So shame that my reaction look like monkey lol.

We greet each other and starts to chat about the things that happen since this morning. Fau keep laughing and repeating the story that she cannot tahan to look at my face when she saw me running to the place. Lol. Stop it haha.

Couple of minutes, the gate open and we line up. Then we go in as usual and find the seat.

Engaging Captain Announcement

 c

The flight took off timely and the Captain make announcement as this is normal routine before take off.

But this time, it was so different as the announcement is so engaging. Unlike other plain Captain Announcement, he delivered it in very enjoyable and entertaining way, in English with American accent.

He will starts speak in Malay Language with pantun. He described our flight path and what to anticipate in more details that other pilots will do, especiallly for such short flight.

I found him sincerely human when he said”Hi, this is your tour guide again (how can that be haha). We are passing through Port Klang in the height of 31,000 feet and you may see it from left window” and this is go on when we pass through Pangkor, Penang,  Thai border until we arrived destination.

He was so full of pantun and last one is tickles me much. Im not so sure the whole sentences but the last is “Jangan cakap Captain tak payung” wahaha.

I am always amazed by people like Captain Shahar who put a lot of passion and effort in whatever they do.  He does not merely deliver his main service of flying passengers from one point to another, but goes extra miles by making effort to engage people in very human way.

When disembark, I really hope to see the captain that normally won’t show up. But he was so wonderful that he joined flight attendants waving passengers good bye, thanking them for fly AirAsia and wish a good day. Aren’t he cool?

5.30 pm (local)

We arrived safely and things that happen inflight keep refresh my mind. I tried to memorize all the words and smile alone. Wake up wake up! Haha

Right after immigration check in and collected baggage, we go straight to the bus counter. For 1 van cost 1050thb and bus is just 150thb per person. To save cost, we take a bus.

Bus to Aonang

After more than an hour, we arrived at Aonang and it’s going dark now. We swift to minivan as the road to hotel is narrow and finally we get in around 7.30 pm

Takes couples of minutes for check in rooms and ours are side by side. We rent a motorbikes as well for 200thb per day.

Dinner

We ride our scooter to the place we spotted from the bus before. Have a few halal stall just in front big Mosque and we had our dinner here. It was exhausted and super hungry day. Most of us ate Fred Rice and it was so delicious for just 50thb and my first time to taste Green Milk Tea for 20thb.

image

Island Tour Package

Then we are full and wander around to survey for Island Tour. Most of the place offer good price but we go for the tour counter below Ao Nang Palace hotel in front convenient store.

So the lady gives good price among others and we book straight away. The tour as per below :

26 Mar – Full day tour to Hong Island (4 island with lunch)
27 Mar – Half day tour for Kayak
28 Mar – Half day tour to Emerald Pool

Cost for all is 1550thb per person.

After settled all the booking, we just go back to the hotel to get a rest. It was long day for us but quite nice to start the journey here.

Time for sleep. Thank you for reading patiently and please bear for next entry. Haha

Prologue Krabi Mar 2016

11

This is planned vacation thus all the ticket purchase and booking for accommodation are well manage. The details for flight and hotel as per below.

tix

It’s a dark night where all the lights in the living room was shut. Not because either no lights or no power, but we are all watching horror movie. Haha.

While waiting for the ghost came out (lol), we just browsing the web. It’s so cheap tonight! *pengsan*

It’s just RM99 to Krabi and RM139 back to KL. Isn’t this so worth it? We calm down for 15 sec and we can’t.

“We can’t wait as this is the lowest price ever”

So, to make is short, the ticket settled on the same day and just forget about the horror movie. 🙂

Ticket details are as per below :

hoh

Since this is my 2nd time and have experience on the hotel here, we just decided to book for Maleedee Bay Hotel. It’s just 10 min walk from the main street (but will exhausted as the road surface is hilly)

The main cause that I personally love this hotel is because of the hotel is cozy, quite and far from busy main road. All roam is in front of pool and the hotel have their own transport to the beach (schedule for 1 way) with the bikes rental as well.

Picture of hotel? Just google baby. 😀

So referred to above, total cost is 15,200thb. Convert to MYR is about 15,200 x 0.117 = RM1778.40 for 2 rooms/4 nights.

It’s quite expensive for the budget holiday but can’t stand the atmosphere  if stay in main road. Some more the hotel hospitality is great as well.

Total lost before hand:

Air ticket per person : RM202.08

Baggage 20kg : RM45

Hotel per person : RM889.20 for 4 nights / 2 = RM444.60

= RM691.68

This is just roughly calculation and I believe some other person will get better than this. So till we meet again on next entry!
Lulz.

Eruption of Barujari Volcano

Due to the last eruption occurred on 31st Oct 2015, Mount Rinjani on the world stage again. The beauty of Mount Rinjani is finally beginning to be recognized in the global arena as a candidate for Global Geo park status.

Mount Rinjani, which folklore says was controlled by the beautiful Princess Dewi Anjani, has been officially recognized as national park and is now in competition with a number of national parks around the world.

1257 – The Rinjani caldera forming eruption is thought to have occurred in the 13th century

Based on the writer Siegfried, Tom (2012) of “Mystery Volcano’s Name Revealed Despite Gag Order” this eruption are “the most powerful volcanic blast since humans learned to write.”

September 10 and 12, 1847 : The first historical eruption occurred

1994 and 1995 – The eruption have presented at Gunung Baru (or ‘New Mountain’). This cone has since been renamed Gunung Barujari (or ‘Gunung Baru Jari’ in Indonesian).

3 November 1994 – Lahars or volcanic mudflow from the summit area of Rinjani volcano traveled down the Kokok Jenggak River killing thirty people from the village of Aikmel who were caught by surprise when collecting water from the river in the path of the flow.

May 2010 – Rinjani erupted three times, May 22, 2010 with activity continuing until early on May 23. It was placed in the standby status by Center for Volcanology & Geological Hazard Mitigation, Indonesia with a recommendation that there be no activity within a radius of 4 kilometers (2.5 mi) from the eruption at Gunung Barujari.

27 April 2009 : Gunung Barujari became active, with activity continuing through to May 2009. The mountain was closed at that time as the eruptions intensified with plumes of smoke and ash as high as 8,000 m (26,000 ft)

31 Oct 2015 (my birthday haha) – Mount Rinjani started erupting again. Volcano ash eruption that led up to the Bali and Java.

But, aside all the things of the volcano , this place is indeed very beautiful. Below are the breath taking picture for the mountain.

1.00 am

We pushed our trolley to the Air Asia counter. After the long queue, when we reached the counter, the staff said, “This is lane for flight to Melbourne. Your flight’s counter will be open on 4 am”

Soo happy. :p

Then we find a place to sleep before the counter open back on 4 am.

4.30 am

My sleep distracted when I saw many people ran with trolley to get to the queue. Jasz take fastest action and line up. At last we get 4th turn in the line.

“Your flight is not cancel yet, just delay. We need to check again after airport reopen on 8.45. It’s still depends on situation”

“But, we will assist to check on the baggage first. If the flight cancelled, we will return back”

This words broke our heart.

“You may waiting at the Departure Hall, in front of Immigration Check Point”

After that, we heading to the said place. Waiting at the corner, people getting more and more. We just pray that the flight will be resume.

7.30 am

Our flight resumed!! But delay at 8.45 am.

image

11.45 am

We safely landed KLIA 2 International Airport. I just feel like I want to kiss the airport’s floor (but i didn’t). Haha.

This is all the stories behind all the things happen for this trip. We are happy, get excited, sad, nervous. All the feeling mix.

Thank you Allah for this money-can’t-buy experience. We love it indeed 🙂

As planned, we will check out today and we just overnight in the Airport until next morning. I keep checking my email, whether have any changes again with my schedule. But so far, there’s nothing that i receive.

After breakfast, just lying on the bed, watching TV. Bapak came sharp at 12 in the afternoon, right after we checked out.

Before heading to Airport, we ask Bapak to bring us to Krishna, the place to bought the sourviners. Then. Then we straight to the Airport.

Oh by the way, before we reach at the Airport, Bapak drove us to local stalls to have a lunch.

2.30 pm

Arrived at the airport. We asked Bapak to pray for us as well, hope this time will be as planned. We just find the place to sit and we did find it. Just at the corner and not many people there.

Tick tock tick tock… Time flies to slow.

6.30 pm

Jasz asked me to accompany her watch a TV at the 2nd floor. We just sat on the floor and watching mute movie. Have couple of person join us too.

Then we heard an announcement.

“We are sorry to inform that due to Volcano Eruption of Mount Barujari, Airport Ngurah Rai will be closed on Sunday 9.30 pm until Monday 8.45 am”

What??? Our flight is tomorrow at 6 am and obviously it will be cancel!!!

We ran to find Adik and Razif. This is more ridiculous. We want to go back!

Stranded in Bali Pt 3

Saturday. 7th Nov 2015

I can’t believe that I’ll woke up again at Suris. Both night I couldn’t sleep well and at last I’m here again. Thank you Allah.

Our phone ringing. Most probably from room next door.

“Kabupaten..”, sounds of hilarious from Adik when I greet that way.

“Haha. Do you guys already wake up? Let’s have a breakfast. The Cafe is nearly full”, tells Adik.

“Okay then. We’ll get ready first”, reply me.

After few minutes, we saw Adik stood still in front of our room. Waiting for us.

Today’s breakfast is Indonesian Cuisine. We had been served Nasi Goreng, Fried Instant Noodles, fried eggs, sauce chicken (like sambal), vegetables and they also have toast.

There’s nothing we do today. Just watching TV lying on the bed.

Murtabak and Terang Bulan

“Bapak bought us food!”, said Razif to us. Bapak is so generous. He knows that we are in trouble so get something for us to eat.

Bapak bought Murtabak and Terang Bulan or in Malaysia we called it Apam Balik. This murtabak is super delicious. So much stuffed inside the Murtabak. We love it much!

For Terang Bulan, delicious too! The taste is nearly the same but this is more fluffy. There’s nothing stuff inside, only chocolate. In Malaysia, it is stuffed with sweet corn and peanut. Chocolate is special optional.

image

Above is the boxes of food. Murtabak is half finished cause it’s too delicious.

So we enjoyed it so much. Later after that, since this is not enough for our dinner (haha), we go out and find the food for dinner.

image

We walked to the Kuta town and entered 1 Shopping Mall but I can’t remember the place. And I found this hilarous Chocolate!

Cokelat Obat Stress > Cure the Stress

Cokelat Gawat Darurat > When got Emergency

Cokelat Tolak Miskin > Less Poverty

The best part is, they have a presciption like normal medicine. Hahaha.

That’s all for today. We go back and have a soundly sleep that night. For today is our last day stay at Suris, we have to stay completely in here. Lol.

Stranded in Bali Pt 2

Friday, 6th Nov 2015

Yayy! Today is our date to fly back to KL. Our flight is schedule to depart at 7.45 pm.

Same like yesterday, we had instant noodles for breakfast. It’s okay since today is the last day we will be here.

Around 11 am, while waiting for Pak Supir to pick us to the airport, me, Jasz and Adik went to Discovery Mall. We saw a T shirt yesterday and after calculate our budjet, still left enough to buy some sourvenirs.

image

Above is news from CNN Indonesia. Our hearts are increasingly pleased with this development . Airport was opened in the morning of November 6, 2015 and several flights were safely landed at their destination.

Ngurah Rai International Airport

1.30 pm

image

Happpy face while eating our lunch that we bought at Es Teller, Discovery Mall. Wong Solo Penyet chicken tastier than Es Teller. Actually , the difference lies not either on rice or chicken itself, but on Sambal Penyet.

Cancellation flight : 2nd time

image

image

I received this creepy SMS to check my email for flight has been cancelled again!! Oh my god. What we gonna do??

My heart is increasingly unpalatable. Seriously, there’s nothing left for us to continue our life here. Our budget is thin. We rushed to the Air Asia counter and continue to line up. The face of all the passengers uneasy , waiting for the uncertain result.

We start text to our boss and family members to let know about this situation. Each surprised and did not expect this thing to be happen in second time. Worry , tired , uncertain thought. Various kinds of feelings that arise.

image

image

image

Above are picture of real time situation right now. All affected passanger line up with patience. Australian or westerner seen more relax when facing this matter than us.

Reschedule 2nd time

We make our turn again. As usual, the staff need our booking number and passport. The booking paper thay I’ve print before turns to be look-alike rubbish as I keep took out and in again from the handbag. Lol.

“The latest flight will be on Monday, 6am”, said the staff. “Is it okay?”

She stares at us. Waiting for the answer.

We look at each other. Then we nodded. We had no choice at all. That flight is the earliest one that not accupied.

“Okay. I’ll change the flight details. You may check your email after this. The itinerary will be change but the booking number remains”

Eventually, we get acquainted with 1 family that stranded same like us. After few time, we get more close and always share our thought about this thing. They turn to check reschedule flight is after us.

“Due to flight is already full, we only have seat on Monday, 5.25pm”, they also nodded. Just agreed even in the first place we thought that our flight will be the same.

She told us that her friends can’t wait anymore, thus they change the flight route from Surabaya to KL. Then her friend take road journey to Surabaya and it takes about 17 hours journey.

I thought for awhile. Thinking if we can make some changes of our plans. I asked the staff, “Is the Surabaya Airport ever close for this cause?”

“Yes, yesterday and few days ago they close for half day as well”, tells the staff. “The Airport also have no confirmation whether they will close or not because it is still depend on weather. If you want to change route, we can assist further”, continue the staff.

I shook. “Thanks”

Then forget it. Don’t want to take redundant risk!

imagePic above is our reschedule flight.

After that, we sat down the floor at one corner. Thinking what will we do after this. We have 3 more nights to go to wait for our flight on Monday.

First thing first. We need to find an accomodation. We can’t just stay here. Bottle water costs 3 times more than outside. Sigh.

Am texting my aunt. Ask for help to make an online purchase with upfront payment as we have no cash right. But the transaction won’t get through.

How baby how? Tell to myself. Lol.

Eventually my brother offer some help. Pais will cash in some money and it’s enough for my cost here for next couple of days.

Then Adik and Razif got an help as well. Jasz is okay since she left more and enough. Allah’s help are always in time. Alhamdulilah.

“I’m thinking to stay at Suris again. The rate are more cheaper than before”, like an electric shoke, all nodded. Since we got nightmare on 2 daya back, Suris will make us to stay safe here.

We ring Pak Dani again. He also have nothing to do as his guest from Malaysia had cancelled the flight. So he always remind us to call us whenever needed.

Once we saw Pak arrived the airport, he giggles. So do us. Haha.

“Welcome to Bali”, he teases us. We all laugh in tears. On the way to hotel, we make fun for all the things that happen.

Suris Boutique Hotel

Around 6 pm

We arrived again here. There’s nothing can compare how it feels when we step up thia hotel. So joyful.

Checked in as usual.

“The standard room that you are booked are all full house. So we will give you deluxe room”, we smile and nodded. The room is just in front of pool.

image

image

The room. Spacious as before but this room have bath tub.

Once we done, we change our clothes and we debusshhhh to the pool!

That’s all for today’s survival. Will continue soon.. 🙂

Stranded in Bali Pt 1

Thursday, 5th Nov 2015

I couldn’t barely sleep last night. Same goes to Jas. The room is not cold even equipped with air conditioning. When we lie down on the bed , our body itchy and I doubt there is a termite in bed. Mosquitoes fly in the room. What the hell is this place?

Because there is no free breakfast at the hotel, we ate instant noodle which we bought yesterday at the Indomaret. And there’s nothing we do today. So we just watch TV and surf the Internet while keeping to check update on current flight schedule.

Boredom to the max, we go out and decided to find our dinner as well. And we certain to walk through the narrow road with handwriting “beach” signboard the we found yesterday. Less than 15 min, we reached the main road that we tooks nearly an hour to get here yesterday!

Our fault to hear the advice from the local yesterday. We have no idea why the guy need to deceived us this way. Or else, he don’t get what we asked for. Here, even though we barely understand the local, but because of different accent sometimes is it not translate well.

Once we get to the main road, we asked the nearest way to the beach. We need to walk inside Centro Shopping Mall (Discovery Mall) and the end of the mall, we’ll saw the beach.

We are so happy to see the Kuta Beach!

image

image

image

image

image

If only we bring our swimwear, we can get in the beach. At this times, many people enjoy the beach activities such as surfing and many more.

Eventually the local from Bali Sea Turtle Society (BSTS) organize an event to release a 1 day old baby turtle to the sea. Wonder if the babies could able to live til adult as usually others sea lives will eat the baby turtle.

We walked on the coast until we are tired . Sit for a moment in front of the street of Hard Rock Cafe while cleaning the sand beach at the foot .

“In front of there is a halal food stalls. Let’s eat there, okay? ”

“Yes. It does not matter to eat anywhere. So hungry.. ”

So we walked back to the place. We found 1 stall that we certain halal. So we order:

4 seafood fried rice ( 25,000idr each )
4 drinks ( approx 8,000idr )
Salted Fish Sauce ( 40,000idr )
10 satay ( 25,000idr )

For satay , we paid separately to the next stall .

image

Pic above : Satay that we ordered. Small if compare to Malaysia’ s satay. The taste is like peanut sauce.

In total we paid except satay is IDR 220,000 . On the way back to the hotel , we calculate the price that we eat . If we follow , it costs only 172,000idr . Why do we pay 220,000idr ? Excessive in 48,000idr . RM15 if convert !!

We give in. This is our fault for we do not ask well with the stall owner about the price calculation . In this critical time , even 48,000idr is very valuable .

That night there was no activity we do. To be continue tomorrow ..

Bali 2015 Pt 5

Wednesday, 4th Nov 2015

8.30 am

We woke up as the ray of suns light our room. I thought to get more sleep, furthermore I’ve done all the packing. Take a quick bath and straight to the hotel cafe. Today we have an A la Cart breakfast and offered few variety of choices. We all go for International Breakfast.

We had coffee/tea, orange juice, scramble egg/omelette, saute tomatoes with potatoes, 2 toast with butter and strawberry jam and sausage.

image

Pak Dani had been informed earlier to pick us after we check out at 12. After breakfast, we go back to the room and take some nap.

Suris Boutique Hotel
Location : Jln Blambangan. 15 min to Kuta Beach
Room rate per night : 400,000idr

This hotel is the best. We opted for Standard Room but due full house, we are given Connecting Room that worth double the price!

There is nothing that we are not satisfied for this hotel. From the staff to the room and facilities, they work hard to make our stay more pleasant.

The place was cozy, pool open till 10 pm. Because I’m too tired, I forget to take a picture of the room. But actually you guys can check from the website. What you see is what you get.

Notice for cancellation of flight

The night before, I watched news that Ngurah Rai Airport has been closed for operation. Mount Barujari, the small volcano near Mount Rinjani in Lombok produce a volcanic ash. But later in the evening, the airport resume back to normal.

“Hope that when we go back tomorrow, our flight ease. This is creepy guys”, said Jas to us.

Actually we are not so excited to flees back but this not mean that we want to extend our holidays. I woke up and get the jaw dropped text!

image

This is not okay! We have little money left and this is just enough for food and not for accommodation.

“It’s okay. We check out the hotel and we ask Pak to sent us to airport as planned”

“Might be we can straight away to the airlines customer service to check what they can do and figure out this matter”

But first of all, I email the airlines as they give 2 option which is reschedule or refund. Refund? No way!

Ngurah Rai International Airport

12.15pm

As we arrived, I saw long queue. But I walked away to get the flight schedule board. Airport has been closed and no one can enter the departure hall.

Many tourists go back and forth in the airport and I know what they feel. This is very unpleasant and there is no signboard to where need we go for help.

image

Then we saw Air Asia desk. We asked the status for we get constantly panic.

“Please get yourself queue here…” the staff with Indonesian accent pointing us to long queue that approx to be more than hundred people.

“…and you will get to the counter. You may reschedule or cancel the flight”, continue the staff.

In no time, we started to line up.

5.00 pm

At last we reached our turn. I saw many people return from the counter with sad faces.

Jasz give body language to 2 couple that just passed the counter and both of them that we certain will flees back to KL knew what we want to ask.

“Reschedule. It changed to Friday 5pm”, they said without any question.

That was a long gap between us and if they schedule at 5pm, what about us?

Our eyes keep on the counter and check whether is there any counter that done while waiting our turn. When we saw the staff hands up at us, we push the trolley over.

The staff asked our booking details and passport. We give it and few minutes later, she inform,”Due to volcano activity, we have to cancel the flight and change the date. It will be on Friday, 7.45pm”

We nodded. Agreed even deep down inside, we are very upset. Where we’ll going to stay? Is our money enough to go through another 2 days?

Razif suggested to ring back Pak Supir. Pak had told us that he can find the cheap and cozy hotel when he dropped us this afternoon.

“He said to book The Tirtha Inn Kubu Anyar”, tell Razif.

We go direct to Booking.com site. Found it! For 2 standard room for 2 nights, the rate is 620,000idr. Around RM50 per night.

6.00 pm

Bapak pick us up. Directly to the hotel. When we arrived , I saw the front of the hotel lobby was not tidy . They do construction work of swimming pool and too severe . The entrance to the hotel is too small, construction sand lying around outside the hotel area and the staff is not friendly at all.

Due to this, the hotel looks very messy. The location is in front of local houses. I just calm myself for this only 2 nights stay.

I open the door of the room . It’s like a normal without any other facility. In this room , there is one room as a kitchen and there is a sink . The bathroom inside the room with kitchen. The soap dispenser was dirty , and Jasz thought me not to use the soap provided for we do not know maybe that is an old soap.

For this room, I have no feels to take a picture. But believe me, the picture you guys see in the website is far nice than what we saw.

7.00 pm

We take a walk out of the place to find a dinner. We just keep walking as we have no idea the place is. Then we saw the “Beach” handwriting signboard to the left.

“Should we go this way?”, asked Adik. Eventually we met local guy that walk towards us and asked,”Is this the right way to the beach?”. He shook his head.

“This is path to the hotel only”

Then we resume to walk. We find Waterbom Bali in the back road. We are too exhausted as we can’t find the way as well.

2km after that, we found the road that the Mc Donalds located. At last we found the road that we recognize. We get in to the KFC.

This isn’t like a normal KFC that we had in Malaysia. They only served chicken with rice. No coleslaw, no whipped potatoes or even cheesy wedges.

We walked out. “So how do you think?”, one of us ask.

“Better we go to the Bakso place that we had yesterday.”

We slowly take a walk even though the leg started to ache. After 20 minutes, we reached the area. From afar, Jasz notice that the restaurant is closed. What we do is all in vain.

Lastly, we decided to go to Wong Solo. The place is just around the corner.

We had a Ayam Penyet as usual. The meal is so tasty and always be all time favorite meals here.

After done it, we tried to walk back to the hotel. But seems the place gone far and we found that we can’t find the right place anymore.

Then we asked 1 guy that we met in front of Best Kuta Villa.

“Your hotel is already too far. Whether you turn back and use the small road or you use main road but the place will be double far.” tells the guy.

We give up. “Is they any cab? How much to the hotel?”, asked us. “50,000idr usually”.

After bargain, we got for 30,000idr. We agreed and the guy that actually the cab driver, drove us back to the hotel.

This is not the end of our survival. To be continue.. 🙂
